GreenWalls Group Shines at IFLA World Congress 2026 — Advancing Sustainable Urban Innovation
GreenWalls Group Limited, Hong Kong’s leading green engineering and ecological design corporation, will participate in the IFLA World Congress 2026 held in Hong Kong this October. Under the theme “Connecting Innovation, Building Green Futures,” GreenWalls will present its latest breakthroughs in bioengineering, nano‑technology, AIoT smart greening systems, and proprietary NCPP® solutions for Net‑Zero cities. The company continues to expand its ESG‑aligned success from Hong Kong to China, Australia, and Canada, showcasing its vision for sustainable and climate‑resilient urban development worldwide.

Programme Highlights
At the IFLA World Congress, GreenWalls Group presents “Engineering with Nature.” Facing heatwaves, extreme weather, and limited land, the company integrates four core technologies—Green-Tech for vertical and rooftop greening, Bio-Tech for soil and plant health, Nano-Tech NCPP® coatings for structural protection, and Solar-Tech with AIoT microclimate monitoring and clean energy. Supported by AI landscape design and Modular Integrated Construction, these solutions reduce carbon, minimize disturbance, and deliver sustainable, climate-resilient landscapes for Hong Kong and beyond.
Speakers
With over 40 years of international experience in geotechnical and structural engineering, the speaker specializes in foundation engineering, seismic retrofit and infrastructure rehabilitation, and is a founding member of the International Society for Micropiles (USA). At GreenWalls, he applies its engineering background to nature-based solutions and integrates deep-rooting grass (Bio-Nail) with soil nail creating Bio-Nail slope embankment stabilization system. For concrete and wood restoration work,he leads research on nano waterproofing, non-toxic fire-retardant and self-cleaning anti virus coatings for glass/ solar panel surfaces, supporting resilient and environmentally responsible infrastructure.

William Auyeung (歐陽錦源)
M. ASCE, P.Eng
The speaker holds master’s degrees from Tsinghua University and Macquarie University. He led global open-source R&D at France Télécom and founded the LiPSForum, the first open-source mobile-software standards body. As founder of Insentek, he applies AIoT and big-data analytics to agriculture and the environment. Insentekoperates what is believed to be the world’s largest real-time soil-moisture monitoring network, combining in-ground sensors, wireless connectivity and cloud-based analytics to track how soil conditions respond to rainfall, drought and changing weather. This data supports precision irrigation, water conservation and climate-resilient land management. He holds dozens of patents in sensing and monitoring technologies.

Danny Huang (黃思源)
The speaker is a civil engineer and Chartered Horticulturist with 47 years’ experience in geotechnical construction, infrastructure rehabilitation and bioengineered greening. Guided by Nature-based Solutions principles, he combines engineering and horticultural expertise to create greenwall and slope greening systems using vetiver grass and his patented Bio-drain system. He applies AI and Mi landscape systems to highway slopes and building greenwalls. Since 2000, as Director of GreenWalls Group, he has led major Hong Kong greening and concrete restoration projects using its proprietary green roof design and drainage system and NCPP® nano-coating. Passionate about R&D, he drives innovation in MiC landscape, AIPV energy and nano-coatings.
